IMPORTANT NOTES:
Spend a full day exploring the beautiful Bach Ma National Park. Bach Ma National Park covers an area of 22,000 hectares and offers the last remaining corridor of forest stretching from the South China Sea to the border with Laos. The park offers a rich biodiversity due to its location between northern and southern Vietnam and ranging from the coast to the high Annamite Mountains. Established as a French Hill Station in 1932 the area became popular as a summer retreat for the French and later the Vietnamese.
Walk through native forest to the summit – at an elevation of 1250 metres above sea level – where you can take in panoramic views of the park, mountains, lagoons, and down to the sea. Continue trekking through the dense forests, exploring the home of a wide variety of animals and plants, and occasionally stumbling across one of the crumbling French villas.
You will also have the opportunity to swim in the clear waters of one of the “Five Lakes” and witness the beautiful Do Quyen waterfall that fall 300m to the forest floor below. You will have the opportunity to walk to the base of the falls, if you feel up to it, before ascending for your drive back to Hue (around 50 minutes). Lunch not included.
