IMPORTANT NOTES
Your Go Experience local guide will pick you up from your hotel to start a day with a trip to the Ethnology Museum on the outskirts of Hanoi. Here you will get a fantastic introduction on the customs, traditions and beliefs of the people who inhabit Vietnam. From here you shall travel further west to the town of Mai Chau. On arrival, you shall enjoy a cup of tea or rice wine before exploring the local village. Mai Chau is inhabited by the Thai people. This ethnic group like all others in Vietnam has its own unique identity, with their own unique dress, language, and customs. Upon arrival you shall visit Mo Luong (Soldiers) Cave. The cave holds a fascinating page in Vietnam’s history in relation to the role it played during the war and also how it is perceived in common folklore. Enjoy and sunset drink outside the cave before returning to your accommodation for dinner.
After a leisurely breakfast enjoy a walk (or cycle) through the beautiful valley to the neighbouring villages. This is a great chance to learn about hilltribe methods of cultivation and way of life. The scenery in this area is spectacular and allows for some amazing photographic opportunities. From here enjoy an early lunch whilst continuing onto the town of Ninh Binh.
This morning take a paddle boat ride through the karst limestone fringed waterways of Trang An Eco Region. Described as the Halong Bay on land, you shall venture through multiple water caves and view some amazing pagodas set amidst stunning verdant backdrops. This trip allows for some amazing photographic opportunities in a unique region of Vietnam. After the boat trip you will be transferred back to Hanoi by vehicle.
