OVERVIEW

Depart the busy streets of Hanoi for Mai Chau Valley, the incredibly picturesque home to the White Tai ethnic minority people.
Mai Chau is a small town nestled in the midst of a lush valley and surrounded by large green rice field. Located not too far from Hanoi, a trip to Mai Chau would bring you the opportunity to experience the life of local villages with their own distinct dress, language and custom, walking through the rice paddies and enjoy breathtaking scenery en-route.

Day 1 HANOI TO MAI CHAU

This morning your Go Experience will meet you at your hotel for the 135km drive west to Mai Chau. On the way you will pass the town of Hoa Binh, then gradually climb the lower reaches of the northern mountain range to Man Duc, surrounded by spectacular limestone karst scenery. On arrival in Mai Chau, enjoy a local lunch before beginning your walk (approximately 2 hours) through the surrounding valley including Nhot and Lac villages, home to the white Thai ethnic minority. Return to your place of accommodation by late afternoon and enjoy your own time. Lunch included.

Day 2 MAI CHAU TO HANOI

After breakfast take a guided walk to different villages then return for check out and return to Hanoi, lunch en-route – arriving mid-afternoon where tour ends.
